My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise

Issue #78 • June 29th, 2026

Hi Reader,

You are getting this because you are in my close circle, the people I trust and genuinely care about. I wanted to tell you this myself, before I say it more publicly to everyone else.

If you have been getting my emails lately, the ones on energy, boundaries, relationships, and what it actually takes to live a fulfilled life, you have been watching me think out loud. There was a thread running under all of it that I never quite named. This is me naming it.

You know the outside version of my story. Starting in 2014, I built woom bikes USA out of a rented, unheated garage into the fastest-growing kids’ bike brand in North America, and eventually led the merged global company as its CEO, past a hundred million dollars in revenue. From the outside, it looked like the whole thing was working.

Inside, for a long stretch, I was successful on paper and quietly falling apart. I was in a marriage that was costing me everything, using work as a shield, telling everyone I was fine. When it ended, I hit the floor. I still remember lying awake at 2am, scrolling my phone, searching the actual words: how do you start over.

Rebuilding from there, slowly and on purpose, turned out to be the most important work of my life. It is also where I found what I am actually meant to do. And it is what every one of those letters has quietly been about.

And I did not just figure my way out alone. I spent the last few years doing the deep work myself, alongside some of the best coaches in the country, and then trained to do this for others. I completed Level 3 at Ascension Leadership Academy, became a Certified Spiritual Coach through the Awakened Academy, and earned my certification as a CDC Certified Divorce Coach®, the professional standard for personal divorce coaching. I wanted to be sure that when I sit across from someone in the hardest stretch of their life, I am bringing a real method, not only my own story.

My mission is simple. To help people become the best version of themselves. In practice that has taken three shapes. I coach business owners one on one. I support owners in the Central Texas Regional Cohort for Birthing of Giants (https://bymathias.kit.com/posts/the-room-i-wish-i-d-had-sooner). And, closest to my own story, I help high-achieving men rebuild themselves after divorce (https://reclaimcode.bymathias.co/).

But I did not write to pitch you. I wrote because if any of that is something you are quietly carrying, the lonely weight at the top, the fog after a divorce, the feeling that the success is not adding up to a life, I would count it a privilege to help. Just reply to this. It comes straight to me, and I read every one myself.

And if, as you read this, a particular person came to mind, someone who needs to hear that they are not in it alone, that is probably the person. Reply with their name and I will take it from there, or feel free to simply forward this to them.

To be clear, none of this is me starting from zero. I am already doing this work with people I care about, and it is going well. I just have room for a few more of the right ones, which is exactly why I am telling the people I trust first.

And separately from all of it, if you ever just want to talk, about anything at all, my door is open. That has not changed, and it never will.

With love,

Mathias

Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #81 • July 11th, 2026 Hi Reader, Eleven names before mine. I stood in Berlin's Rotes Rathaus on Monday watching Senator Franziska Giffey work down a line of people from around the world, shaking each hand, placing a certificate in each pair of hands. I kept thinking about a cafeteria line in Monroe, Louisiana, in 1994, where I used to just nod yes to questions I couldn't...

Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #80 • July 5th, 2026 Hi Reader, Everything can't be on fire. If it is, you have no way to choose what to save first. A client of mine, someone who runs a team and outperforms most people around him, told me last week: "I'm like a phone with a thousand apps open, all running at the same time." He wasn't behind on one thing. He was behind on everything, all at once. Deadlines....

Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #77 • June 27th, 2026 Hi Reader, Some of you have been here a while. Many of you are new. And the work I do has shifted enough that I want to reintroduce myself, plainly, and tell you why. I am Mathias. In 2014 I launched woom bikes USA with no investors, no venture capital, and no safety net. Just a container of four hundred kids' bikes, maxed-out credit cards, and an...
