Big Shifts in My Life
I feel inspired to share a few updates on where I’m headed in my life. I have been doing a lot of soul searching and am now sharing my new direction. Think of it as a quick pulse on what’s unfolding..........
My Realization
If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve been working on my next move after woom. In the meantime, I’ve taken time to reflect. I’ve started mentoring, coached and financially supported other founders, invested in purpose-driven brands, and leaned into my own growth. Through this process, I’ve found my mission:
To inspire others to become the best version of themselves and supporting entrepreneurs and business owners and leaders to realize their full potential.
Much of what I’ve written about that journey is now live on my content site, where I’ll be sharing updates, stories, and lessons learned:
“No One Believed It Would Work—So I Built It Anyway”
That’s the story of how I started woom in 2014 and built it into the fastest growing cycling brand in the US. You can read my full origin story here:
When I launched woom USA, I didn’t have outside capital, a roadmap, or much room for error. What I did have was grit, a relentless belief in the mission, and the resourcefulness to figure things out.
I bootstrapped the company from a garage in Austin into a nationally recognized, mission-driven love brand and grew it to over $20M in revenue in six years. Later, I led the merger and stepped into the CEO role of a $100MM global business.
It was a ride of a lifetime

But also one of the loneliest journey I’ve ever taken. And it taught me something important: even when the success looks great on the outside, business owners still need support just as much as strategy.
That’s why I’ve joined Birthing of Giants as the Austin Regional Cohort Leader—to build the kind of business owner community I wish I had in those early years.
My Next Chapter:
Birthing of Giants is a strategic growth program for 7- and 8-figure founders who want to scale with clarity, purpose, and accountability. It’s not a class or a networking group—it’s a curated cohort of business owners working on their companies, not just in them. Through proven frameworks, quarterly in-person sessions, and focused cohort support, founders gain the tools and discipline to build scalable, sellable, and more meaningful businesses.
Regional Cohort Leader for Austin/San Antonio
Having lived the scaling journey myself, I know how powerful it is to be surrounded by a trusted cohort.
That’s why I’m now building a group of high-performing business owners who scale smarter, grow enterprise value, and prepare for capital or an exit—through the proven Birthing of Giants curriculum
I’m excited for what’s ahead—and grateful for the chance to support growth-minded business owners in bringing their vision to life. If you are interested in learning more, let's connect:
I used to think meditation wasn’t for me—too slow, too abstract, not “productive” enough. But once I started small and built it into a consistent practice, it became one of the most powerful tools for clarity and performance in both business and life. In this piece, I share my practical guide for founders, leaders, and anyone who wants to stick with it for real

Lead with Focus - Mathias Ihlenfeld For founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Hi My Friends and Supporters, Thanksgiving week always brings me back to gratitude—and this year, I'm feeling it more than ever. You've probably heard that gratitude is good for you, but it's worth repeating: it literally rewires your brain to think more positively. It helps you feel less stressed and anxious, boosts your mood naturally, and makes you happier overall. Plus, when...
Celebrating Women's Founders Reflecting on an Evening of Women Founders and Community Wednesday night at The Modern was one of those evenings I'll carry with me for a long time. Not because everything went perfectly. Not because we had the biggest crowd or the fanciest setup. But because of what happened when we all showed up—14 female founders, 5 brave enough to take the stage, and around 50 people who chose to spend their evening supporting something real. The Power of Showing Up I'm...
In 2019, my company hit $15M in revenue. Inc. 5000. 742% growth rate. Press coverage. The whole nine yards. From the outside, I was crushing it. Inside, I was drowning in questions I couldn't ask anyone: Should I take institutional capital or stay bootstrapped? Is my leadership team capable of scaling to $50M? What decisions am I making today that are killing my exit valuation? My team had opinions but no experience at this scale. My advisors had frameworks but no scars. My successful friends...
