Lead with Purpose
My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise
Issue #54 • May 12, 2026
This week, I am in the flow. There are extended periods in my day when I feel extremely creative and passionate about what I am doing, energized by a series of small events that are all coming together at once.
Flow is complete immersion and total absorption in something that fills you with energy rather than depleting it.
I have reflected on what is bringing me into this state and landed on the following.
First: Purpose and Community
Last Thursday I hosted 10 local business owners for a productive growth workshop and an intimate, vulnerable dinner sharing wins and supporting each other during their growth journey. Read about it here. Everyone left genuinely energized and inspired by the impact and support we created for each other. This dinner is a pre-event to me leading the Birthing of Giants Regional Cohort Program for business owners here in Austin.
Second: Connection and Experiences
Over the last two weeks, Doralicia, Sofia, Luca and I hosted my cousin's daughter from Germany. Finya is 16, and she stayed with us here in Austin. We created memories and experiences of a lifetime. We all shed tears when we dropped her off at the airport.
When I create stillness, I recharge and unlock an additional layer of creativity and motivation. I have been using a new app called Hypnobox daily. One track in particular, "A Guide to a Fulfilled Life," gave me the idea to start writing a book. I have started, and the process is deeply energizing. I have been posting pieces of it on my Substack and I cannot stop thinking about it. I have promised myself not to rush it. My plan is to share bits and pieces here as well as I move along:
The only way to truly fail is to learn nothing from your mistakes. A person who never made a mistake never made anything. The shadow patterns are not permanent sentences. They are the work. Your scars do not make you unqualified to lead. They make you trustworthy. Your hardships were not punishments. They were your initiation.
Fourth: Physical Well-being
I make time to work out and stay active. I am also eight weeks into a program here in Austin called IV-League, a six-month commitment to understanding and optimizing your biology at a level most people never reach. I wrote about it here.
Fifth: Helping Others
My 1x1 Coaching is rewarding. I also just added another 11 lesson module to my online course Energy for Peak Performers. The goal is to provide a self-paced online course for busy and overwhelmed performers interested in self-paced learning. Here is more info on what I added.
There are certainly other reasons I am in the flow right now, but one of my mentors consistently reminds me that my newsletters run long, so I will leave it here......
Oh yes, one more thing:
If you are curious about the self-hypnosis app I mentioned, here is the story: I have become close friends with the founders during SXSW. Self-hypnosis takes you deeper than meditation. It is where your subconscious actually opens up and real change happens. I use it every single day to manage my nervous system and my energy, and so do my clients. Read more about it here.
Let me know when you ready to do a 7-Day challenge with me. I will send a you prize if you complete it alongside me.
As always, I only recommend products and tools I personally use.
Until next time,
Mathias

Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #58 • May 26, 2026 A practical guide for business owners who look connected and feel alone Last week I wrote about friendships being the lowest score on the wheel of life. Almost every time. Almost every person. A lot of you reached out. Which told me two things: it landed because it was true, and most people have no idea what to actually do about it. So this week I want to go...
Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #57 • May 22, 2026 Nobody warns you about this part. You chose this life. You built it. You would not trade it. And somewhere along the way, without really noticing when it happened, it got lonely. I sit with people one on one all the time. Successful people. Busy people. People who look like they have it together from the outside. Executives. Founders. Parents. Creatives. People...
Lead with Purpose My updates for founders, executives, and creators who want to lead with vision, not noise Issue #56 • May 18, 2026 A NOTE FROM MATHIAS “I want to be honest with you before we get into any of this. I wrote this article and built this lesson, and I am also someone who has struggled with this exact pattern. I have had mornings where I reached for my phone before my feet hit the floor. Evenings where I was physically in the room with the people I love and mentally somewhere else...
